Biography

Daughter and only child of infamous Medellín Cartel head Gabriel Ernesto Márquez and estranged trophy wife, the former high fashion model María Inés. Young María Sofía spent her early years shuttled between assorted villas in Colombia, Baja California Sur and San Diego by her papá, and travelling Europe’s fashion capitals with mamá and her entourage of socialites, beautiful people, fashionistas, private tutors and, of course, bodyguards.

Once she’d come to, and after her frantic entourage found the awe-struck young woman, she swore to use this power to better the world about her, adopting Quetzalpétlatl as her new, costumed identity. In time, she chose Gotham City as the base from which she vowed to make her mark as a costumed heroine.

Purchasing a converted warehouse live/work loft in the heart of The Village, she established her studio and gallery, Atelier Ático. Opening it to models and other aspiring artists as well. In addition, the two-bedroom, Mezzanine flat allows María Sofía to entertain friends, and intimates alike.
